Halal MRE – Vegetable Barley Stew with Lamb

This Halal MRE features vegetable barley stew with lamb as the primary meal component. It is a complete, ready-to-eat halal ration intended for use when traditional food preparation is not available.

Each ration contains one 12-hour meal providing approximately 1,250 calories. The meal is factory sealed and shelf stable with a 3+ year shelf life when stored in a cool, dry environment.

In addition to the vegetable barley stew with lamb, this ration includes dried cranberries, nut and raisin trail mix, snack-a-doodle mix, an oatmeal cookie, and a grape drink mix. These components are packaged together to be consumed as a full meal.

A flameless ration heater is included to allow the meal to be heated without external equipment. The ration also includes an accessory packet containing a spoon, napkin, towelette, salt, pepper, sugar, matches, and tissue.
